Criticize

Alexander O'Neal was once a member of the legendary Minneapolis group...The Time (at that time they were known as Flyte Time). But legend has it, a disagreement with Prince (over his "look") led to his removal from the group. By the time (pun intended) that they released their 1981 debut album, Morris Day was at the helm, and The Time was headed for stardom.

Alexander O'Neal would however link up with Time members Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and by 1985 would release his self titled LP.

1987 brought his 2nd album Hearsay which spawned several huge hits "Fake" and "Criticize"

Alexander O'Neal is still considered to be the best pure talent that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis ever worked with, and their music together is considered by many to be the pinacle of the Minneapolis sound....
