Sweetest Taboo

I'm in the process of relocating, so my internet access is real shady right now. Nevertheless, I will continue with the final entry in my female artist appreciation series. I've already admitted to a perhaps unhealthy obsession with Mary Mary. However, my feelings for Helen Sade Adu go past that. I have a huge poster of Sade in my living room that is over 5 feet tall (taller than most children). I had to order this poster from the United Kingdom.



I know... i know... its nice. But this isnt about my love affair with Sade. Its about her being the greatest female artist in the history of recorded music (I see you Aretha...)

No really. While her being the greatest in history is debatable, there is no doubt that she is one of the most popular and revered artists of our time....on a global stage, not just the United States. She remains a mystery in large part due to the fact that she doesnt release tons of material, and stays out of the spotlight when she doesnt have album out. But all of her material is absolutely top notch. Including Love Deluxe which is my favorite album of all time.

Her music is fairly well knows, so there isnt much that I can post that hasnt been heard already. But I will include a live version of "No Ordinary Love" that was included on the special limited edition version of Lovers Rock.
