How Could You Stay Outside?
One of my homies....(who I won't go as far as to put her on blast. For the purposes of this blog, we'll just call her, "Jackie "), has inspired me to revisit my music blog. I always make a post then say I'mma do better, and you won't hear from me for months. I'm trying to change that. I've moved several times this year and well...life has been rough. But all that aside....I'm back in the game.
Earlier this year I was watching TV and came across this commercial.
I was immediately mesmorized by the song...
So I started doing my research. Asking around. And I found out that the artist was Yael Naim.

And thru some insane fortune...able to get my hands several copies of her CD.
Yael Naim is Israeli, but she was born in Paris. Her 2nd album the self-titled "Yael Naim" is a collaboration with West Indian percussionist David Donatien and contains songs in Hebrew, French and English.
Her voice is enchanting. And even without being able to understand most of the lyrics, the music is so lush that it draws you in. Definitely not a party album. More of a clean the house or a I got a headache from work let me relax type album.
