Forever Close My Eyes

This weekend I witnessed some of the most pitful excuse for football, from my home team, the Indianapolis Colts. The team who after beginning the season 13-0, was supposed to win it all. And they failed miserably.

As they are accustomed to doing....

In my search for the most depressing song I could find, I am taken back to when I lived in Philly. Actually, my 1st night in Philly was spent at this gurl named Lisa's house because my friend who I was staying with had his flight delayed. My 1st night in a city I've never been, I take a cab to the house of someone I've never met. But Lisa (I would later find out) was the girlfriend of recording artist Dälek (pronounced dialect).

Dälek was the name of the emcee, as well as the band. Before I ever heard any of their music, I got several opportunities to talk with dude. His passion and musical knowledge was impressive. When I finally saw them perform....Intense. Their music is like a rap/rock/electronic blend. Like Linkin Park maybe...but not at all Pop. Very raw, and uncompromising. In certain parts the CD doesn't translate the intensity of their live show....but thats why you go see people live anyway, right? To bring the music to life....
